Day of Mourning in Croatia on Saturday following pope's death

Croatia

Following the death of Pope Francis, the government declared Saturday a Day of Mourning in Croatia, on the day when the Holy Father’s funeral will also take place, CE Report quotes HINA.

The Day of Mourning will be marked by the mandatory display of the Croatian flag at half-mast on all buildings housing bodies of state authority and units of local and regional government, as well as on buildings in which legal entities are headquartered or operate, and where individuals carry out independent professional activity.

On the Day of Mourning, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., no entertainment events may be held.

Legal entities engaged in television and radio broadcasting are required to adjust their programming to reflect the observance of the Day of Mourning by airing content appropriate to the nature of the occasion.

Pope Francis (88) died on Easter Monday due to a stroke and heart failure.
