The Croatian National Bank (HNB) presented gold and silver commemorative coins dedicated to Marija Jurić Zagorka, a famous Croatian writer and journalist, as part of the "Croatian Literature" numismatic series.

The coins feature symbolic motifs representing Marija Jurić Zagorka, Croatia's first female journalist and one of its most widely read authors, whose work forms an important part of the country's cultural heritage, CE Report quotes HINA.

The gold commemorative coins have been minted in denomination of €100, while the silver coins have a denomination of €4.

The coins went on sale on Thursday, 24 April, and will be sold by the Croatian Mint (HKN). The expected initial sale price for the €100 gold numismatic coin is around €3,500, while the €4 silver numismatic coin is expected to sell for €79.99 including VAT. The final sale price at the time of purchase will depend on fluctuations in the market prices of gold and silver.
