The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has issued new Code Yellow warnings for strong winds, blizzards, and snowfall, effective until Saturday morning across several mountainous areas. A broader weather advisory is also in place for mixed precipitation and ice, lasting until Sunday morning and affecting most of Romania, CE Report quotes Agerpres

Between 10:00 and 22:00 on Friday, strong winds with gusts of 50–60 km/h are expected in Banat, Crisana, parts of Oltenia, Dobrogea, northeast Muntenia, and southeast Moldavia.

From Friday morning to Saturday at 10:00, mountain regions will see snow and blizzard conditions, with up to 20 cm of fresh snow and wind speeds reaching 60–80 km/h in the Southern and Curvature Carpathians.

A general advisory from Friday morning until Sunday at 10:00 warns of mixed precipitation, icy roads, and frost across much of the country. Snowfall will persist in the mountains, while lower regions may experience light rain and freezing conditions.

Overnight temperatures on Saturday may drop as low as -4°C in the north, center, and east, with frost and ground freezing expected.
