Meloni honors rescuers amid Italy’s extreme bad weather
Premier Giorgia Meloni said the government would provide "every support" to civilian populations hit by extreme bad weather in Tuscany and Emilia Romagna.
"My thoughts go out to the populations affected by the bad weather that is hitting various areas of Italy, causing serious damage and difficulties to citizens", she said, CE Report quotes ANSA.
"Heartfelt thanks to all the police and rescuers who, with commitment and professionalism, are providing assistance to the affected communities," she added.
"The Government is at the side of the populations in difficulty and will guarantee all necessary support".
Flood alerts are in place in the two regions.
