Code red for blizzard in high areas, bad weather warnings in most regions

The National Weather Administration (ANM) on Thursday issued a code red warning for strong blizzard, which will affect mountainous areas in seven counties on Friday. There are also code yellow and code orange warnings for strong wind and significant snowfall across most of the country, valid for Thursday and Friday, CE Report quotes Agerpres

According to meteorologists, on Friday, from 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM, a code red warning will be in effect for blizzard at altitudes over 1,700 metres in the counties of Caras-Severin, Hunedoara, Alba, Sibiu, Brasov, Arges, and Dambovita. In these areas, wind speeds will exceed 120 km/h, causing near-zero visibility and snowdrift.
