Moldovan president in Baku emphasizes vulnerability of countries like Moldova to climate changes

„For Moldova, the climate changes do not represent a far threat, but a reality which affects the citizens’ living, the economy and, especially, the rural communities dependent on agriculture,’’ President Maia Sandu said at the United Nations Climate Changes Conference, the presidential press service has reported, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

„The increase in air temperatures, droughts and unpredictable rains reduce the yield of the agricultural crops and the vineyards face new challenges. The access to water becomes ever more difficult, affecting the daily life. Therefore today, in Baku, I emphasized the vulnerability of such countries as Moldova to the effects of the climate changes,’’ President Maia Sandu said.
