Moldova exported goods worth $269.1 million in February 2025, marking a 10.6% increase from January, but a 17.7% drop compared to February 2024, according to the National Statistics Bureau, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

In the first two months of 2025, 62.5% of exports ($320 million) went to EU countries, while 5.9% ($30 million) were sent to CIS nations. Key export destinations included Romania, Turkey, Italy, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, and Germany—together accounting for 71.3% of total exports.

Domestic goods made up 78.5% of all exports, valued at $402.5 million. Major exports included oil seeds, machinery, fruits, clothing, cereals, beverages, and furniture.

Meanwhile, imports surged to $1.6 billion during the same period, up 16% from the previous year.
