Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Ludmila Catlabuga visited Bucharest today for a key meeting with her Romanian counterpart, Florin-Ionuț Barbu, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. The ministers highlighted the importance of collaboration to strengthen farmers' resilience and modernize the agricultural sector. Romania offered to support Moldova through technical expertise and assistance in aligning with European agricultural policies.

Catlabuga acknowledged Romania's ongoing support, particularly from the Agency of Payments and Interventions for Agriculture, which has been instrumental in shaping Moldova's financial support mechanisms.

Barbu reaffirmed Romania’s commitment to Moldova’s European integration, emphasizing the value of shared expertise and best practices for sustainable agriculture development. The meeting, supported by the Moldovan Embassy in Romania, also included representatives from both countries' agricultural agencies.
