Apple maintained its position as the world's most valuable company on Monday, with a market capitalization reaching $3.3 trillion, 49 years after its founding, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

Despite recent market volatility, Apple saw a 28% rise in its stock value in 2024, increasing its valuation from $2.6 trillion in March 2023 to $3.3 trillion.

Founded in 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne, Apple revolutionized personal technology, starting with the “Apple I” computer. Over the years, innovations like the Macintosh, iPod, iPhone, and iPad reshaped industries and user experiences.

In 2024, Apple ramped up its artificial intelligence efforts with the launch of “Apple Intelligence” and the AI-powered iPhone 16. Despite growing competition, Apple's focus on AI has helped it maintain its leadership position.

However, the company faced challenges in the smartphone market, with a slight decline in iPhone sales and a drop in global market share, from 20.1% in 2023 to 18.7% in 2024. The competition from Chinese companies continues to intensify.
