Business

The European Business Women's Confederation (PEFA) will debut the Women's Entrepreneurship Index in Romania on May 20 at the Government, in partnership with the Department for Sustainable Development. The index aims to measure the impact of female entrepreneurship on the global economy, according to PEFA Romania's leader, Andreea Negru, CE Report quotes Agerpres

PEFA, celebrating its first anniversary, is a member of IMM Romania, the national confederation representing small and medium-sized enterprises. In the past year, the organization has successfully expanded, reaching over 30,000 employees across various sectors and forming national and international partnerships. PEFA has promoted gender equality and women’s roles in the economy, public life, and politics.

In addition to this, PEFA's ongoing projects include collaborations with the National Anti-Drug Agency and the Ministry of National Defence on campaigns promoting female leadership. PEFA continues to prioritize gender equality and the active participation of women in all sectors.

The organization is also hosting the third edition of the "Economic Trends 2025" conference at the BNR Arena in Bucharest, focusing on key economic trends, challenges, and opportunities.
