Greece and Cyprus Strengthen Tourism Cooperation

Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni met with Cyprus’ Deputy Tourism Minister Kostas Koumis on Monday to discuss enhancing bilateral and multilateral cooperation in tourism, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

Koumis pledged Cyprus’ support for Greece’s candidacy at UN Tourism, both for the Secretary General position and the renewal of its Executive Board term.

With Cyprus set to assume the EU Council presidency in 2026, the ministers explored joint efforts in sustainable tourism and tackling climate change impacts. They also discussed plans for joint travel packages to long-haul destinations like the US and China.
