
Greek Finance Minister Hatzidakis Heads to Brussels for Eurogroup and Ecofin Meetings
Greek Minister of National Economy and Finance Kostis Hatzidakis will travel to Brussels on Monday to attend the Eurogroup and Ecofin meetings, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian
The Eurogroup will discuss the eurozone's macroeconomic outlook, economic policy recommendations, and Bulgaria’s progress toward adopting the euro. The work program for the first half of 2025 is also set for approval.
At the Ecofin meeting, key topics include the Competitiveness Compass, the economic impact of Russia’s war in Ukraine, and the EU’s budget guidelines for 2026. The Council is expected to adopt measures on tax policy, economic governance, and the Recovery and Resilience Fund, with Latvia’s and Belgium’s revised plans up for approval.
Hatzidakis will also hold meetings with European officials on the sidelines of the event.
