Moldova Drafts New Capital Market Development Strategy for 2025-2030

Moldova is set to adopt a new Capital Market Development Strategy for 2025-2030, with a draft currently open for public consultations until February 17, 2025, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

Developed by the National Commission of Financial Market (CNPF), the strategy aims to create a transparent and dynamic investment environment, fostering economic growth. Key objectives include improving access to financing, expanding the investor base, integrating SMEs into the capital market, modernizing infrastructure, and aligning regulations with EU standards.

The draft provides an in-depth analysis of the current market, financial instruments, and regulatory gaps limiting growth. It also emphasizes diversifying financing sources, protecting investor rights, and boosting transparency.

Once public consultations are completed, the draft will proceed to government review before being submitted to parliament for approval.
