Electricity Consumption on Dniester’s Right Bank Reaches 13.9 Million kWh on 1 February

On 1 February, electricity consumption on the right bank of the Dniester totaled 13.93 million kWh, with over half covered by imports, according to the Ministry of Energy. The demand was fully met through commercial contracts without activating emergency reserves, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

The energy mix included Termoelectrica (27.73%), CET-Nord (4.2%), Costesti hydroelectric plant (1.15%), renewable sources (8.81%), and imports from Moldova and Romania (58.11%).

On the left bank, total consumption stood at 4.41 million kWh, with 80% generated by the Kuchurgan power plant. The region's electricity sources were MGRES (88.79%), Dubasari Hydroelectric Plant (10.78%), and technological flow (0.43%).

Additionally, the Ministry of Energy announced the start of natural gas deliveries to the Transnistrian region. These supplies will support households, medical and educational institutions, and power plants, ensuring stable electricity generation without scheduled outages.
