Minister Valchev highlighted INSAIT’s global impact in AI and its role in attracting and retaining top Bulgarian scientists. Rector Valchev emphasized the program’s importance not only in keeping students in Bulgaria but also in shaping the future of higher education.

Launched in 2024, EXPLORER is funded primarily by Bulgarian tech companies, with a budget of BGN 1 million. The initiative offers ten students scholarships of BGN 2,000 per month for four years, allowing them to focus on studies at Sofia University’s Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics while gaining hands-on experience in cutting-edge fields like AI, robotics, and machine learning.

By combining academic excellence with industry exposure, INSAIT’s EXPLORER program aims to position Bulgaria as a hub for AI innovation.
