Greece’s Unemployment Rate Drops to 9.4% in December 2024
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Greece fell to 9.4% in December 2024, down from 10.4% in December 2023 and 9.5% in November 2024, according to the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT), CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian
The number of employed persons reached 4.27 million, marking a 0.8% increase year-on-year but a slight 0.2% decline from the previous month. Unemployment fell to 443,639 people, a 9.9% drop compared to December 2023 and a 1.4% decrease from November 2024.
Meanwhile, the number of people outside the labor force stood at 3.05 million, slightly down from the previous year but up 0.5% from November.
