Bitcoin Surges After Trump's Executive Order on Cryptocurrency

Bitcoin prices jumped by 2.5% on Friday following US President Donald Trump's executive order aimed at advancing cryptocurrency markets, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

As of 06:45 GMT, Bitcoin's price reached approximately $104,736, with a market capitalization climbing to $2.07 trillion. Over the past 24 hours, transaction volumes totaled around $100.44 billion.

Ethereum also saw gains, rising 4% to $3,381 during the same period.

The executive order outlines plans to establish regulations and technologies for cryptocurrency development in the US. It also announced the formation of the Working Group on Digital Asset Markets to explore the creation of a national digital asset stockpile.

Earlier this month, Bitcoin hit an all-time high of $109,000 amid market optimism following Trump's inauguration.
