December 2024 Inflation: Annual Rate at 2.1%, Monthly at 0.4%

The National Statistical Institute (NSI) reported that in December 2024, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) indicated a 0.4% monthly inflation rate compared to October and a 2.1% annual inflation rate (compared to December 2023), CE Report quotes BTA

Significant monthly price increases were observed in Recreation and Culture (+5.9%), Transport (+1.3%), Restaurants and Hotels (+0.7%), and Miscellaneous Goods and Services (+0.6%). Meanwhile, prices dropped in Clothing and Footwear (-1.3%) and Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages (-0.6%).

The Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) showed a monthly inflation rate of 0.3% and an annual rate of 2.1%.
