Bulgarian Stock Exchange Honors Top Performers of 2024

The Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) celebrated the achievements of top-performing investment intermediaries, banks, and public companies at a ceremony held at the Grand Hotel Sofia. The event recognized brokers with the highest number of transactions and turnover, as well as key contributors to Bulgaria's capital market growth in 2024, CE Report quotes BTA

Caretaker Finance Minister Martin Danovski highlighted the significance of the capital market, emphasizing its role in financing the real economy within the European Union. Despite Bulgaria's market being smaller, he stressed its integral connection to European processes.

BSE CEO Manyu Moravenov noted that while the year's turnover started slower than expected, it reached BGN 200 million by December, marking a 24% growth compared to 2023. Transactions grew by 14%, with an annual turnover of BGN 975 million. The main index, SOFIX, saw a 17% year-to-date increase by the end of December.
