Starting Wednesday, January 8, applications are open for a new energy-saving programme with a budget of €434 million, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

The initiative aims to achieve over 30% primary energy savings by upgrading residential properties by at least three energy efficiency categories. It applies to buildings used as main residences, including detached houses and individual apartments.

A key focus of the programme is to support energy-vulnerable and affected population groups.

Eligible costs include:

  • Replacement of window frames
  • Installation or upgrading of thermal insulation
  • Upgrading heating and cooling systems
  • Hot water systems using Renewable Energy Sources (RES)
  • Additional energy-saving measures like smart management systems (smarthome) and energy storage solutions.
