Kosovo Is Officially Recognized by Amazon and Included on All Its Platforms, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

According to a statement from the Presidency, Kosovo has been officially recognized by Amazon and is now included across all its platforms.

"With its inclusion on all Amazon platforms, the Republic of Kosovo marks a significant milestone in the country's digital development and transformation. This achievement is the result of high-level meetings held in October this year between the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, and Amazon representatives in Washington, D.C., USA. These discussions are also part of ongoing efforts by the Digital Diplomacy Task Force, an initiative of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, supported by the U.S. Embassy in Pristina.

Being present on Amazon platforms enables Kosovar individuals and businesses to expand their reach and showcase local products to a global audience on amazon.com, fostering economic growth and innovation. This development also facilitates consumer access, allowing seamless connection to one of the world's largest e-commerce platforms and services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Amazon Alexa, and more.

This progress is a clear testament to the power of diplomacy and public-private cooperation in advancing Kosovo's economic interests and development," the statement reads.

The statement also mentions that President Osmani, in collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce, is continuously engaging with other major digital platforms crucial to the development of Kosovo's business sector and its overall digital ecosystem.

Until now, Kosovo was the only country in the Western Balkans not recognized by Amazon, leaving its citizens and businesses facing difficulties in purchasing various products.
