"It is a great joy and a happy moment that we are on this beautiful island, in front of the unique landmark of Naxos, to announce the signing of an important financial instrument for our islands," Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Thursday, at the signing ceremony of the contract for the establishment of the Island Decarbonisation Fund, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian
The premier said that insularity requires special care from the state and that the government has proven that it is close to the islanders. "We are changing and making the lives of the islanders better. The Fund we are presenting will help our islands put the green transition into action. The funds will help us link the islands with the electricity network on the Greek mainland," he added.
