
Heavy Traffic, 6 Dead in Holiday Accidents
Traffic was heavy at the entrances to Sofia Monday evening as the Easter holiday weekend came to a close, according to the Interior Ministry. Elsewhere in the country, traffic had returned to normal, CE Report quotes BTA
Between April 17 and Monday, 73 serious road accidents occurred across Bulgaria, resulting in 85 injuries and six fatalities, said Police Inspector Bisser Tsvetkov from the National Coordination Center for Road Safety.
Two fatal crashes happened earlier Monday. In one, a car and a truck collided near the village of Novi Han, with the car catching fire and a body found inside. In another, a crash on a local road in Tryavna Municipality killed the driver and injured a passenger.
