Third Bid to Lift Rangelov’s Immunity

Acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov has again requested that the National Assembly strip MP Mario Rangelov of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms of his parliamentary immunity. Parliament Chair Nataliya Kiselova announced the submission on Thursday. This marks the third such request, following rejections in December 2024 and early April 2025. Rangelov is accused of leading a criminal group targeting citizens' political rights and allegedly paying BGN 15,000 to influence votes in favor of a coalition during the October 27, 2024 parliamentary elections, CE Report quotes BTA
