Bulgaria Receives First F-16 Fighter Jet

Bulgaria marked a milestone in its military modernization with the arrival of its first F-16 Block 70 fighter jet at Graf Ignatievo Air Base. Defence Minister Atanas Zapryanov hailed the day as a turning point for the Bulgarian Air Force, emphasizing the start of a broader technological rearmament. Alongside the F-16s, Bulgaria will also receive new Stryker vehicles and a second patrol ship in 2024.
