Bulgarian PM Orders Urgent Personnel Changes in Toll Administration

Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov has called for urgent personnel changes in the management of the National Toll Administration to ensure its full functionality and prevent budget losses, the government press service announced Wednesday, CE Report quotes BTA

At a previous Cabinet meeting, Zhelyazkov emphasized the need for stronger traffic control and preventive measures. He also instructed the immediate implementation of measures to enhance toll collection, based on a report from the Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) on upgrading the toll system.

The Prime Minister also praised RIA for swiftly addressing the long-standing issue of the Krivia tunnel in the Kresna Gorge. Within a week, the agency completed repair works in the tunnel, which had been without lighting for years.
