Parliament Focuses on Road Safety in High-Level Roundtable Discussion

On Tuesday, Parliament Chair Nataliya Kiselova emphasized the importance of prioritizing road safety during a roundtable discussion addressing solutions, legislative challenges, and initiatives to tackle road safety issues, CE Report quotes BTA

"This is a critical issue. Today marks the second discussion on this topic within a month," Kiselova stated, urging participants to not only focus on stricter penalties for offenders but also on preventive measures.

The discussion brought together key stakeholders, including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Grozdan Karadjov, Minister of Justice Georgi Georgiev, Road Safety Agency Chair Malina Krumova, representatives from the Ministry of Interior, MPs, and NGOs involved in road safety.

Kiselova stressed the need for collaboration among all institutions involved in improving road safety to develop effective and sustainable solutions.
