Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Aims to Accelerate EU Funding Processes

Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov announced efforts to expedite negotiations and payments under the Recovery and Resilience Plan and EU-funded operational programmes. Speaking during a meeting with Bulgaria's representative to the European Court of Auditors (ECA), Iliana Ivanova, in Strasbourg, Zhelyazkov emphasized a commitment to fiscal stability and ensuring rapid access to EU funding for citizens and businesses, CE Report quotes BTA

The discussion also addressed financial management of the EU budget and challenges related to the upcoming Multiannual Financial Framework. Ivanova praised Bulgaria's efficient use of EU agricultural funds, noting the country had no errors in its implementation for the past year.

An official visit by Iliana Ivanova to Bulgaria is planned in the coming months.
