Democratic Bulgaria Denies Involvement in Government Negotiations

Bulgaria

Democratic Bulgaria (DB) is not currently engaged in any negotiations or behind-the-scenes discussions, MP Bozhidar Bozhanov stated on Friday. This follows GERB-UDF's announcement earlier this week that talks to form a new regular government would proceed without DB, CE Report quotes BTA

"Our involvement was contingent on judicial reform, ensuring an unbiased prosecution service, and reducing MP Delyan Peevski's influence on the judicial system and beyond," Bozhanov explained. While progress was made on a draft agreement, no final consensus was reached, he added.
