GERB Continues Government Negotiations, Confirms PM Candidate

The GERB-UDF coalition announced that its Executive Committee has instructed the party’s negotiation team to continue discussions with BSP-United Left and There Is Such a People (TISP) to establish a regular government, CE Report quotes BTA

Rosen Zhelyazkov has been confirmed as GERB-UDF's candidate for prime minister and will lead the negotiation efforts. The team will focus on securing support for a cabinet and forming a ruling majority to address key legislative priorities, including amendments to the Election Code and the Judicial System Act.

The statement also noted that talks with Democratic Bulgaria will resume if the party signals readiness to back a government led by Zhelyazkov.
