Good Conditions for Winter Tourism in Bulgarian Mountains Despite Avalanche Danger

The Bulgarian mountains are offering favorable conditions for winter tourism this Sunday, according to the Mountain Rescue Service of the Bulgarian Red Cross. Temperatures range from -10°C to -5°C, with a thick snow cover of 100–140 cm in higher areas, CE Report quotes BTA

The weather is expected to be mostly sunny, with mild to moderate west-northwesterly winds, occasionally stronger at the highest altitudes. Temperatures will reach 4°C at 1,200 m and -2°C at 2,000 m.

Rescuers urge visitors to stick to winter routes as avalanche risk remains high.
