Bulgaria to Provide Humanitarian Aid of EUR 50,000 to Lebanon

Bulgaria will provide EUR 50,000 humanitarian aid to UNICEF in Lebanon, caretaker Deputy Foreign Minister Maria Anguelieva said Thursday at an international conference in support of the people and sovereignty of Lebanon, which was organized at the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said in a press release, CE Report quotes BTA

Addressing the forum, Anguelieva called for the implementation of Resolution 1701 and supported the diplomatic efforts of France and the US for a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah. She also stressed the need to address the humanitarian crisis and assist internally displaced persons, as well as the urgency of providing humanitarian access.
