The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, met with the head of the North Atlantic Alliance, Mark Rutte. Rama wrote that this was his first meeting with the Dutchman as NATO Secretary General, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

"With a special friend and now an unwavering supporter of Albania, Mark Rutte, in our first meeting since he became NATO Secretary General, following 14 years at the helm of the Dutch government," Rama wrote on Facebook.

Meanwhile, a day earlier, the NATO Secretary General, Mark Rutte, stated that stability in the Western Balkans remains fragile as he addressed the November 29 attack in the Ibër Lepenc Canal.
He highlighted the fragility of stability in the Western Balkans and expressed support for efforts to maintain security in the region.

Rutte also thanked the KFOR commander for the swift response in deploying troops to protect critical infrastructure from further damage. He emphasized that NATO remains committed to ensuring that KFOR fulfills its UN mandate.
"We remain committed to ensuring that KFOR fulfills its UN mandate. It is now essential to establish the facts and hold those responsible accountable," said Rutte, calling for a thorough investigation into the incident.
